We're a team of divers and engineers who got tired of the most awkward thing to pack for a dive trip — full-size fins. So we built one that folds.
The folding hinge is a mechanism we invented and refined over six years of R&D, co-developed with the Polish Naval Academy in Gdynia. It transforms the fin from flat-to-pack to rigid-to-dive in one click — with no compromise on the blade.
The blade itself is a biomimetic, bio-based design, validated in a hydrodynamic tunnel and put through independent, peer-reviewed testing. In that study the folding blade matched the propulsion efficiency of full-size professional fins — in a fin that packs three times smaller.
FoldingFins is designed and produced in the European Union by EXOTECH Sp. z o.o., Gdynia, Poland. One product, made by the people who invented it — sold direct, backed by a 2-year warranty.
