The travel fin that doesn't compromise.
Folds 3x smaller — yet matches the propulsion efficiency of leading professional dive fins.

Full-size fins don't fit the way you actually travel.
A liveaboard berth, a carry-on, a 23 kg airline limit. Traditional blades eat the space and the weight you'd rather spend on a regulator or a second camera housing. Most “travel fins” answer that by getting shorter — and slower.
FoldingFins answer it differently: full-length blades that pack down to travel size on our original folding hinge, then perform like one solid piece the moment you're in the water.

Out of the bag, into the water.

Fold flat. Lock rigid. Dive.
Folded, each fin packs to a third of its size — the difference between a dedicated fin bag and a free corner of your carry-on. Unfolded, the blade locks into one continuous, full-length piece that performs like a rigid pro fin — no soft spot at the joint, no trade-off for packing small. It's the world's first folding fin, engineered so you travel lighter without giving anything up.
Folds in your hands. In seconds.
It transforms — flat to pack, rigid to dive — in one click. A mechanism we invented, co-developed with the Polish Naval Academy, and refined over six years of R&D.
One size, adjusts to your foot.
Ditch the old way of choosing fin sizes. Worn over a dive boot or a thick neoprene sock, the adjustable foot pocket — with short and long bungee heel straps — locks in a secure fit across foot sizes.
The performance is in peer review — not in the copy.
In an independent, peer-reviewed 2022 study, FoldingFins were tested head-to-head against two industry-benchmark dive fins — from Aqualung and Scubapro — using high-speed image processing in a pool. The folding blade matched their propulsion efficiency, landing inside the range biologists identify as optimal for efficient swimming.

A six-year R&D programme — biomimetic design, validated in a hydrodynamic tunnel, built from a bio-based blade.

The blade moves water the way a fish fin does — the flexible membrane channels it into a streamlined flow, for efficient thrust with less leg effort.

Thrust and efficiency measured in a hydrodynamic tunnel with the Naval Academy research team.

A durable bio-based blade — resistant to UV, saltwater and temperature swings, and fatigue-tested across the R&D programme.
Built by divers. Used by divers.

"I find them to be light yet strong and robust — these fins can be used for any type of diving."
2× Guinness World Record holder — deep diving.

"I designed these for the trips I actually take. Divers buy from divers — so I put my name on them."
Co-Founder & Co-Inventor, FoldingFins / EXOTECH

"I was shocked by the hydrodynamic properties of the final model… I can barely feel them on my legs."

Not a render. Real fins, real dives.
Bought them. Kept diving them.

Keep a spare in your kit.
Straps and pins wear before the blade does. Restock the consumables and keep your fins dive-ready.

Does the hinge weaken the blade?
No. The locking geometry makes the unfolded blade behave as one continuous piece — no flex penalty at the joint. The thrust data is in the peer-reviewed testing above.
Sand and salt water — will the hinge hold up?
It's built for it. The blade is a bio-based Hytrel® material that resists UV, salt and temperature swings, refined across a six-year R&D programme. One reviewer has logged 500+ dives on a single pair with the mechanism still holding — and every pair is covered by a 2-year warranty.
How small does it actually pack?
Folded, each fin takes about a third of its unfolded footprint, collapsing to a 4 × 8 cm (1.6 × 3.1 in) cross-section — it lies flat in a carry-on alongside your mask and snorkel.
Will they fit my feet?
Open-heel and one-size — the adjustable bungee heel strap secures a snug fit across a wide range of foot sizes. Wear them over a dive boot or a thick neoprene sock, the way open-heel fins are meant to be worn — not on bare feet.
Do they arrive ready to dive?
Your FoldingFins ship folded flat, with the blade, foot pocket and pins supplied as a kit. You assemble each fin and set the foot pocket to your own foot using the included adjustment key and quick-start card. That hands-on fitting is exactly what lets one size fit a wide range of feet.
What's the shipping and return policy?
Free worldwide tracked shipping on every pair. 30 days to return in saleable condition, 2-year limited warranty on the fins.
