Nuno Gomes — 2× Guinness World Record Holder | FoldingFins
Share
Nuno Gomes is a 2× Guinness World Record holder and one of the most respected technical divers in the world. He set the deepest cave dive record at 282.6 m (927 ft) in Boesmansgat, South Africa, on 23 August 1996. He then set the deepest sea water scuba dive record at 318.25 m (1,044 ft) in the Red Sea in June 2005 — a record he held until 2014, when Ahmed Gabr broke it at 332.35 m.
Nuno chose FoldingFins on his own — there is no commercial endorsement deal behind this. He owns a pair and uses them in his own diving. His testimonial, given to FoldingFins directly:
"I own a pair of Folding Fins. I find them to be light yet strong and robust, these fins can be used for any type of diving. The Folding Fins can be used for the dolphin kick, flutter kick or the frog kick, which I prefer. The fins will make available plenty power and speed as and when required. I enjoy diving with my Folding Fins."
— Nuno Gomes, Diving Legend
★★★★★
When a diver of Nuno's stature picks up a pair of fins, it's an independent vote of confidence — not paid promotion. For everyone designing, building and selling FoldingFins, that matters more than any marketing line we could write ourselves.
